Located in the historic township of Hamilton in the Upper Derwent Valley, one hour from Hobart along the Lyell Highway and about three hours drive from Strahan which most people find slow and tiring, which makes the self contained cottages so appealing as a stop over. Hamilton makes an ideal base for relaxed touring so you can explore the unspoilt beauty of the Upper Derwent Valley. From Hamilton you can branch out to the stark summit of Mount Wellington with its spectacular views 90 minutes drive to Mount Field National Park some 30 minutes away. A further 30 minutes takes you into the spectacular Styx Valley. 

Experience old fashioned Cornish hospitality in these quaint cottages where memories of log fires, candlelit dinners (by arrangement) and hearty country breakfasts will stay long after your holiday is over. Included in the tariff is a comprehensive English style breakfast This will fuel you up ready for a full day exploring the beauties of the Derwent Valley. Laundry facilities are also available for our guests. Both cottages are fully self contained and are equipped with TV , hair dryer, log or gas fires, iron & ironing boards, microwave, electric frying pan etc
